'Muzzled' Reporter Ivory Hecker Teases to Another Leak in 'Bosses Own Words'

Ivory Hecker, a local Houston TV reporter who claimed that the network's parent company, Fox Corp. was "muzzling" her, teased a new leak of information in her "bosses' own words," on Wednesday.

"Some of the corruption I mention in this clip is the efforts Fox took to internally damage me for allowing a factual sound bite that didn't fit the narrative to reach the public ears. I'll be releasing this information in my bosses' own words later today," Hecker wrote in a tweet, which included a video where she spoke with James O'Keefe, the founder of Project Veritas.

In the video, Hecker said, "Fox came at my throat for standing up against censorship." The video also included recordings of phone calls Hecker had with Fox 26 KRIV Vice-President & News Director Susan Schiller and KRIV assistant news director Lee Meier.

Hecker goes on to state in the video that, "from the inside, yes, there's a narrative. Yes, it is unspoken. But if you accidentally step outside the narrative, if you don't sense what that narrative is and go with it, there will be grave consequences for you."

"I want out of this narrative news telling. I want out of this corruption. I want to tell true stories without fear of whether it fits the corporate narrative," Hecker says as the video concludes.

According to Hecker's tweet, she is expected to release further information on this matter later today.

Hecker made headlines earlier this week when she announced during a live KRIV broadcast that the TV station's parent company was "muzzling" her to "to keep certain information" from viewers.

"I want to let you, the viewers, know that Fox Corp has been muzzling me to keep certain information from you, the viewers," Hecker said during the broadcast. "And from what I'm gathering I am not the only reporter being subjected to this. I am going to be releasing some recordings about what goes on behind the scenes at Fox because it applies you, the viewers."

Shortly after her announcement during the broadcast, Hecker was suspended by the TV station and was eventually terminated, according to The Daily Beast.

A spokesperson for Fox 26 KRIV confirmed to The Daily Beast that Hecker was no longer employed by the station.

"FOX 26 adheres to the highest editorial standards of accuracy and impartiality. This incident involves nothing more than a disgruntled former employee seeking publicity by promoting a false narrative produced through selective editing and misrepresentation," KRIV previously told Newsweek. The KRIV spokesperson did not confirm the report from The Daily Beast that Hecker had been fired.

In a statement previously sent to Newsweek, Hecker said that after interviewing an unspecified person last August, her relationship with Fox "had taken a dark turn."

"They decided they didn't like what the interview subject had said, and they went on to internally harass and defame me," Hecker told Newsweek in a statement on Monday. "I knew I was not working for a journalistic organization when I was called into an HR meeting in December and was told to keep my support for free speech and opposition to censorship to myself—that those were not matters to be publicly spoken about."
