Gary Erickson is an American businessman and entrepreneur who co-founded Clif Bar & Company in 1991. He served as co-CVO and co-CEO of the company before stepping down as CEO. Erickson also founded White Road Investments and Kali’s Bakery in 1986. He is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and designed and produced bicycle saddles.
In 2000, Erickson was offered $120 million to sell Clif Bar & Company, but he declined. Along with co-owner Kit Crawford, he founded the Clif Bar Family Foundation in 2006 and owns the Clif Family Winery & Farm in Napa Valley.
In June 2022, Mondelez agreed to buy Clif Bar for $2.9 billion, giving Kit and Gary a combined net worth of $2 billion.
