It is a great honor for a celebrity to get their own wax figure — but sometimes the artwork doesn’t meet expectations.
Long before Dwayne Johnson’s Parisian wax statue made headlines in 2023, Kim Kardashian received her first statue from Madame Tussauds in 2010. The reality star attended the unveiling and posed next to her counterpart.
“It is weird! It’s like she’s prettier than I am. It’s so weird, like, my arms and the hands … everything about it is so exact that it’s weird to see yourself,” she said to MTV News at the time. “So now I can really see from an outsider’s point of view. It’s weird.”
While Kardashian was seemingly pleased with her figure, mom Kris Jenner noted that it wasn’t an exact replica of her daughter.

“The butt could be a little bigger,” Jenner quipped to her daughter during an interview with Access Hollywood at the first unveiling. “Your butt is bigger than this!”
