Nay has been working in the television news business for more than two decades. She began her career while in college at Southern Utah University working for SUUTV and at CTV-12. She later transferred to New York City the day after she graduated to chase her dreams. She worked behind the scenes as a producer-writer at Fox News Channel, CNN, and NBC.
Similarly, she worked in radio news originally as a service assistant before she was promoted to field reporter and anchor. Her reports were heard daily on many stations across the United States and around the globe, particularly when the events of 9/11 happened.
